PRARANCANGAN PABRIK TRITOLYL PHOSPHATE DARI CRESOL DAN PHOSPHORIC TRICHLORIDE MENGGUNAKAN KATALIS ALUMINIUM CHLORIDE DENGAN KAPASITAS 20.000 TON/TAHUN

Abstract


Abstrak

          Tritolyl phosphate ((C21H21O4P),TCP) merupakan bahan penting dalam industri polimer, karena berfungsi sebagai plasticizers, flame retardant, pelarut bahan selulosa asetat, pelapis kabel, gasoline additive dan minyak pelumas. Pabrik C21H21O4P berkapasitas 20.000 ton/tahun beroperasi selama 330 hari/tahun dan dibangun tahun 2022 di Kecamatan Cikampek, Kabupaten Karawang, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Bahan baku yang digunakan adalah cresol (C7H8O) dan phosphoric trichloride (POCl3) menggunakan bantuan katalis aluminium chloride (AlCl3).

Produksi C21H21O4P beroperasi pada suhu masuk 210 oC dan tekanan 3,5 atm. Reaksi berlangsung dalam reaktor tangki berpengaduk (RTB) selama 6 jam dan reaksi bersifat eksotermis (mengeluarkan panas). Produk keluaran reaktor selanjutnya dialirkan menuju filter press untuk memisahkan produk dari katalis. Kemudian produk yang bebas dari katalis dialirkan menuju dekanter untuk memisahkan C21H21O4P sebagai fase ringan dari fase beratnya. C21H21O4P dan C7H8O sebagai produk atas dekanter dialirkan menuju vaporizer untuk menguapkan C7H8O dan diperoleh produk C21H21O4P dengan kemurnian 99%.

Pemasaran C21H21O4P diutamakan untuk konsumsi dalam negeri. Sistem kerja karyawan sebanyak 161 orang dibagi dalam regu dan shift. Hasil analisa ekonomi memberikan hasil TCI sebesar Rp 982.879.887.604,51 dan diperoleh hasil penjualan Rp 4.074.878.248.409,34. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh keuntungan investasi dan waktu balik modal sebelum dan sesudah pajak sebesar 174% dan 84% serta 0,543 tahun dan 1,065 tahun. Sehingga diperoleh nilai BEP dan SDP sebesar 47% dan 40%. Berdasarkan pertimbangan hasil analisis kelayakan ekonomi, maka pabrik C21H21O4P kapasitas 20.000 ton/tahun layak dibangun.
